KILN-FORMED (SLUMPED) TEXTURES

Kiln-formed glass, commonly referred as slumped glass, appeals particularly to one's sense of touch. Studio G3 has wide variety of textures - from aggressive wave-like patterns to subtle linen-like designs. Slumped glass is achieved by heating the glass in a kiln to a temperature high enough to become soft and cause it to slump into or over a mold. The finished Slumped panel assumes the shape of the mold and the entire glass' appearance becomes obscure.
